Easter is about a Pure True Unconditional Love Story
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world (you and I) that He gave his only beloved son (Jesus to die instead of us), that whosoever (murderers, prostitutes, drug addicts, alcoholics, anyone) believes in Him (Jesus) will not perish (will not be destroyed for go to hell), but have everlasting life (there is real life after physical death in Jesus where they is no more pain, sickness, heartbreaks, abuse..i.e. no more suffering).
The word of God (Bible) is true and is life, and a manual for every man kind. I've got no doubt it. I've tested it, tried it, and have seen the manifestation of the Word in my life. I tell you, it is more real than the very air we breathe. Just believe, the key is believe.
Act 16:31 says, believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. God requires nothing from us but just believe in Jesus His son and Him as well, John 14:1.
I personally see Easter as a love story of a father or a lover who saw our misery and came to our rescue by giving up his all for us. When man disobeyed God, the relationship between him and God was broken, the things that came so easily at hand were no longer there. For that reason man had to struggle in life to make ends meet at every aspect of his life.
Man fell from his glorious stature (the image and the glory of God) to a lower state, man then became so easily entangle with sin (anger, bitterness, greediness, jealousy, wickedness.........). In the beginning it was not meant for man to die but live forever; but as a result of sin, man had to die at end of his struggling to live.
Romans 6:23 depicts that the result of sin is death and, but God's gifts to man is eternal life and that can only be found in Jesus Christ if you believe in Him.
Before the death of Jesus, cows, bulls, and goats blood were used as the means of atonement for sin, but that was not enough to bridge the gap between God and man. The man who uses to talk directly to God in the garden of Eden (where man was created) is now demoted because of sin and had to use the blood of animals to cleanse himself before communicating to God through high priests.
The Bible says in Hebrew 9:22 that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission (forgiveness) of sin.
So God had another plan, this time coming down to our level in form of human, to go through what we go through as humans, the bible says He left his Glory, His riches, His kingship, His throne, His deity, and emptied himself completely of his supremacy to be borne by a human virgin at the very lowest state of life. Now what king on earth, or president or rich man will do that for anybody?
God who had never experienced hunger, pain, insult, poverty, sleepiness, and all that we feel as humans, was now hungry, felt pain, felt tired, was insulted, became poor, felt sleepy and had all human limitation but in all, the Bible makes it clear that He was without sin. He was fully man and fully God. What is so amazing is that this king came to our level and felt what we feel so that when you and I say to him that God, I feel tired, He know how it feels like because he's been there. This is someone you can fully trust and depend on.
Now when Jesus came down here on earth, he had one main goal and that is to deliver us from sin and bridge the gap between God and us and that is the reason for the shameful death on the cross even thought he did nothing wrong. After his ministry as a great teacher and leader (by example) who demonstrated love by healing the sick, raising dead people, giving sight to the blind, feeding the hungry, never looking down on any one, with many great example in the Bible such as the story of the Samaritan woman, the prostitute who was condemn by men to be stone to death, going close to the homeless, the abandoned, the rejects, the broken hearted, demonstrating true love everywhere he went, it came to the time for him to lay down his all by dying on the cross for you and me.
He knew what was ahead of him; the suffering he had to endure in the hands of men he has created.
Even though he had the power to save himself he didn't because he honours his word. Blood had to be poured before we can be forgiven to eternity. So he focused not on the thing surrounding him Hebrews 12:2 but focused on the goal set before him. He endured great suffering, every beating he received, took out a chunk layer of his skin away. It is written that he was beaten till there was no beauty found in him. And every beating represent our healing. He became ugly by the beatings He took so that our ugliness or infirmity can be covered. “By his stripes, we are healed”. The flesh that came out from his body filled every pothole (diseases) thus all our infirmities.
Then he carried our sins to the “cross” which was meant for murderers. He who knew no sin or has never sin ended up on the cross. How did that happened? Pontius Pilate found Him blameless but he ended up on the cross. He was traded or exchanged for a murderer (Barabbas, also representing you and I). In other word, He became a murderer even thought he did not kill.
What happened, what switched, what went wrong? You might ask.
God the father gave him (Jesus, His only beloved blameless son) up to bear the cost of our sins. He gave him up to take our place.
Now I want you to think about this. Who will sacrifice his only sweet, obedient, good looking, blameless son to die in place of a murderer, or wicked man on a death role?
I have never witness or heard of any such sacrifice before and after Christ's death on the cross.
Our sins were upon him, he carried all our infirmities, and all our curses on the cross; and because of our sins upon, God the Father had to reject Jesus His son because sin was upon him; he bored sins of the whole world on the cross. God hates sin; he can't stand sin, so there was a separation between God the Father and Jesus (God the son). I believe that this was the reason why Jesus cried in the Garden of Gedsemeny, that if it is possible, this cup (that brings separation between him and father) should be taken away, remember that God the Father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit are one and have never experienced separation. So this was a big deal for Jesus (God the son), but because of love, Jesus Christ our saviour then said to God the father “not my will, but your will be done”.
Jesus gave it all up even the separation from the father because of our sins so that we can be reconciled to God. This is LOVE.
Jesus is the only bridge or channel to God the father. Anyone no matter your background, no matter what you have done, no matter who you are, just believe in Jesus and know that He has already paid the price for your sins. Your part is to accept Him (Jesus Christ) as your saviour to eternal life.
And the good news is after Jesus died, He rose up on the third day. He now holds the key to life and death. All other prophet came, they died and never resurrected but Jesus is alive.
He is the saviour of the whole world. It is up to you and I to accept Him as our savior or we suffer eternal death (second death after life on earth) where there is eternal torture. I have accepted Him as my saviour, I don’t know about you. What is your choice?
See this world has nothing to offer us. There is so much trouble everywhere. We cannot depend on such an unstable world where everything is changing but we can count on Jesus Christ our savior. See, you own a house today and tomorrow it’s gone, you are a millionaire today and tomorrow you are in dept, you see you mom or dad today and tomorrow they is no more, you are in love today and tomorrow your heart is broken by a loved one. All other grounds are sinking sand. The things of this world are passing by and so will the heaven and earth. It is not going to be as we see today, but if you trust in Jesus, you can rest assured that you are saved forever.
After Jesus ascended to heaven, He sent God the Holy Spirit to live in us (any one who believes in Jesus) as our comforter, counselor, and as a seal that we are His, the Holy Spirit enables as to live like Christ. So that when I display pure love (without condition) then it is no longer I that do that, but it is God (The Holy Spirit) in me that helps me to display such love.
That is why Christianity is not a label or title for religious group of people but it is living or practicing Christ-like character, surrendering to the Holy Spirit to display the Christ-like living in you such as doing good where ever you go, respecting all people, loving all people, not looking down on anyone, not finding faults, but showing unconditional love like Christ.
So my message is that Easter is all about the deepest love GOD the father has shown to man through Jesus Christ the son so that we will be saved and be called the children of God.
Accept Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
Let us love another, because love comes from the One and Only true God, whoever loves (unconditionally or not for self gain) is a child of God. That shows that he knows God and loves for GOD is LOVE.
